Tear Troughs with Cannula & Teosyal

"Instantly revived and refreshed appearance with no downtime and minimal side effects"

Teosyal Puresense redensity II is the only aesthetic injectable in the UK licenced for treatment of tear troughs and specially designed to treat the delicate and sensitive eye circle area. Can other dermal fillers be used to treat them? Yes - but not as well, and not for as long. Teosyal is the only product used for this procedure at Let's Face It Asthetics.

Why do I have them? As we age, there are gradual changes taking place in all layers of the face including skin, fat, muscle and bone, especially around our eyes.  In Youth, due to surrounding plump fat, thicker overlying skin and soft tissue structure, this ligament is usually invisible. There is a natural slow decrease over time in the fatty tissue under the lower eyelid, receding cheekbone and eye socket and with lost elasticity the muscle no longer remains tethered in place. These changes can eventually cause the tear trough depression. The rate of change varies in different people and is also linked to skincare, sun exposure, smoking, stress, body weight and genetics.

What results can I expect?

  • Single treatment

  • Immediate results

  • Cannula procedure – minimal discomfort and bruising

  • Significant improvement to tear trough depression achieved

  • Improved elasticity and firmness to skin

  • Area no longer sunken

  • Dark ‘circles’  are reduced

  • Shadowing reduced when the hollowness is corrected

On average, the effect can last for up to 12 months, sometimes without any requirement for any touch ups.

This treatment is not suitable for pigmented dark circles, large malar and palpebral bags which are better suited to surgery.

Is it safe?

In general, fillers are considered very safe for most people. However, all treatments that involve injections carry a degree of risk and should always be administered by a healthcare professional with specialist training. All risks and complications will be discussed with you during consultation and prior to any treatment being agreed.

The use of a cannula, with usually only two entry points, minimises discomfort and bruising. There may be some minor bruising and/or mild swelling but these normally disappear in a few days.
